Terms of Use

ConnectHustle is an online marketplace that connects customers ("Customers") who need short-term work done with workers ("Workers") who can do it. We provide the platform, messaging, and an escrow payment flow. We are not a party to the agreement between a Customer and a Worker, and we are not the employer of any Worker.

• You must be 18 or older to use ConnectHustle.
• You must give accurate information and keep your contact details current.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Don't share your password.
• To withdraw funds you must complete ID verification.

• Customers may post jobs that are legal in South Africa, include an honest description, location, and price.
• Workers may apply with a bid and an optional cover message. Acceptance creates a direct agreement between Customer and Worker.
• Don't post jobs that involve illegal activity, harassment, discrimination, or anything that puts another person at risk.

• Job funds are held in escrow by our payment provider (PayFast) once the Customer pays.
• Funds are released to the Worker after the Customer confirms the job is complete, or automatically per the platform release rules.
• ConnectHustle deducts a platform fee from the job amount. The current fee is shown before the Customer pays.
• Cash and EFT-on-arrival payments arranged outside the escrow flow are at your own risk — we cannot protect you for off-platform payments.
• Workers can withdraw their available balance to a verified bank account.

• A Customer may cancel a job that has not yet been accepted and receive a full refund.
• After a Worker is accepted, cancellation is by mutual agreement, or by raising a dispute.
• Either party may open a dispute from the job screen. Our team will review the chat, proof, and payment records to make a fair decision.
• Refunds and partial releases are at ConnectHustle's reasonable discretion based on the evidence.

Ratings must be honest and based on your own experience with the other party. We may remove ratings that contain personal attacks, contact information, or clearly false claims.

• Don't impersonate others or create duplicate accounts.
• Don't scrape, copy, or resell the platform or its data.
• Don't try to break, probe, or overload the service.
• Don't use the platform to send spam, scams, or harmful content.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

You keep ownership of content you upload (photos, messages, profile info). You grant ConnectHustle a limited licence to host and display it so we can operate the service. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

ConnectHustle provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of work performed, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees we received from you in the 12 months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be referred to a South African court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
